Obituary for Nancy Delle Hawkins (Cracraft)

Nancy Delle (Cracraft) Hawkins, 77, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Golden Living Center.
Born May 2, 1944 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Rev. Rex Cracraft and Gayle (DePhue) Cracraft. Nancy was a graduate of Bloomington High School, class of 1962, before going on to earn her B.S. and M.S in Education from Indiana University.
Nancy was a teacher in Bloomington for 40 years, and spent most of her years teaching kindergarten at Rogers Elementary School. She also spent time teaching at Arlington, Templeton, Small World Preschool, and was the last teacher at the two room Phillips school before it was closed in 1967. Nancy was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Chapter in Bloomington, as well as an active member in Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her son, Troy (Clara) Hawkins; granddaughter, Leslie (Austin) Hollers; grandson, Keith Hawkins; sisters, Susan Carol (David) Floyd and Sara Beth (Henry) Hunt.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lester Hawkins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard with Pastor David Wigington officiating. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
