Nancy Sue Pemberton, 78 of Bloomington, Indiana went home to be with the Lord at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Born August 16, 1943 in Monroe County, Indiana to Clarence Cain and Opal Swearegn Cain. Nancy was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, loved her pets and loved being around all her grandkids and family and friends. She was of the Christian Faith. She was married to the late Lester Hayes, Jr. "Sonny".
Nancy married Rory Pemberton on March 8, 2017, but have been together for 54 years.
Nancy is survived by sisters, Patty Sowinski of Catherdral City, California, Brenda Mingee of Avon, Indiana, Debbie Hickman of Bloomington, Indiana, Debbie Hickman of Bloomington, Indiana; daughters, Ann Morrison and Pam Hayes of Bloomington, Indiana; sister-in-law, Rena McConnell and brother-in-law, Randy Pemberton; grandkids, Melissa Soloman, Robbie Eads Jr., Justin Morrison, Mikeal Ferris, Jr., Brian Morrison, Angel Hayes, Cody Hayes and Haily Hayes; great-grandkids, Josah Hayes, Mersades Ferris, Maddie Ferris, Maelie Morrison, Tez Ferris, Jr., Robbie Bolton, Josaia Aprica, Sonia Ferris; great-great grandkids, Wyatt Hankins.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jackie Hash,Drenna Ray; brothers, Kenny-Jean, Clarence Cain, Jr.; kids, Debbie Egan, jimmy and Roger Hayes, Alvie Hayes.
Private Family Services on Monday, December 20, 2021. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be given to the Salvation Army of Bloomington.
