Susan Mae Lampkins, 81 of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Susan was a Leap baby being born on February 29, 1940 in Eureka, Indiana to the late Sam and Hester (Small) Cron.
Susan was a homemaker and her main focus and love in life was taking care of her husband John who she was married to for 58 years before his passing and her children and later grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her two children; Eric Lampkins and Lori Denise Johnson; grandchildren, Alyssa (Erick) Stahl, Steven (Kandy) Johnson, Matthew (Sara) Johnson and Amber (Troy) Greenwell; great grandchildren, Emma Ethan Emry and Easton Stahl, and Ginny Greenwell; sisters, Cherri Roberts and Terri Litton and brother, Wandel Cron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lampkins in 2017; grandson, Justin Lampkins; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Lampkins, her parents along with 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation for Susan will be on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Clear Creek Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
