Obituary for Karen J. Kidwell
Karene Jean Kidwell, 80, of Bloomington passed away after a short illness on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington.
Karene was born December 16, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Casey and Fausttanna (Brinson) Jones. Karene had a love of animals that led to a 45+ year career of taking care of dogs and cats and ultimately led to her and her late husband Harry opening Delilah’s Pet Shop in Bloomington which her daughter still owns.
Karene is survived by her daughter Lesli (Robin) Miller of Bloomington; grandchildren, Bray Henderson and Casey Vincent ; great grandchild, Taylor Vincent; and her aunt, Gracie Rice.
Karene was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kidwell (2014); daughter, Susan Warmbier (2014) and her parents.
There will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Delilah’s Pet Shop to go towards a scholarship for aspiring Veterinary students.
