Annabelle Houston, age 79, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington. She was born on June 9, 1942 in Monroe County, Indiana to Benjamin and Naomi (Canner) Kent. Annabelle loved spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, and knowing all of the gossip.
Annabelle is survived by her sons, David, Richard, Lonnie, and Bobbie Deckard, daughters, Janet Watterson, Betty Thurston, Patricia Key, and Connie Strahm, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Kenny Kent, sisters, Shirley Chandler and Vivian, and several nieces and nephews.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her first husbands, Ronald Deckard and Eddie Houston, 4 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and 7 siblings.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 and from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at The Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at South Union Cemetery in Bloomington.
