Chester R. “Buddy” Bell, 54, of Bloomington passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Buddy was born February 29, 1968 in Bloomington and was the son of Phillip Eugene Bell and Pamela Jo (Carey) Bastin.

Buddy was a 1986 graduate of Bloomington High School North and also from Indiana University where he had degrees in Criminal Justice, Psychology and Law. Buddy loved learning especially things that involved Law and Government. He enjoyed cars and anything mechanical and liked watching racing and NHRA. He was also a big fan of the Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders along with being very patriotic.

Buddy is survived by his mother, Pamela (Mike) Bastin; sister, Angie Summers (Jeff); brother, John Bell; step sister, Angela (Shane) Nelson; and his nieces who he loved very much, Olivia and Sophia Bell.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Eugene Bell; grandmothers, Thelma Bell-Pless and Bessie Jean Hamner; and his aunt Thelma Christy.

Services for Buddy will be 4 pm Friday, May 27, 2022 at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church Chapel, 2700 E. Rogers Road.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Friday at the church.
