Carolyn Sue Grasley, age 75, passed away peacefully May 23, 2022 in Mitchell, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 31, 1946, Carolyn was the daughter of Howard Johnson Kingsley and Florence Marie Woodward.
Carolyn was an independent woman, who loved being outside doing yard work and enjoying the company of her cows and her beloved fur-babies, Bruiser and Queeny. She religiously attended church any chance she got, and was the kind of person who would pray for a stranger, and give them the shirt off her back. Carolyn also found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Tammie Bock and Carla Wyatt; sons, Elvis Pelfree and Marcus Bell; brother, Howard Kingsley Jr.; sisters, Evelyn Shabeeb and Miky Kingsley; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Duane Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, Indiana.
