Obituary for David W. Smith
David Warren Smith of Bloomington, IN, born Oct. 4, 1926, passed peacefully away at his residence surrounded by his family on May 23, 2022.
David was the son of Courtney & Grace (Walraf) Smith of Michigan City, IN. He attended Elston Senior High School, CBI & was a WWII Navy Veteran. He retired from RCA/GE & was a fisherman, hunter, rockhound & pilot.
David is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann (Branam), daughter Debbie (Terry) Allshouse, two beloved grandchildren Cassandra DeHart (Bart Meacham) & Joshua DeHart (Michelle), three loving great grandchildren Oona DeHart-Meacham, Ayrica & Ayden DeHart, brother Dan, sisters: June Nikirk, Eunice Alderson & Margarite Beck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother & two sisters.
David followed Jesus Christ all his life & had a tremendous love for missions. A Celebration of Life will follow later.
