Obituary for Charles "Bud" Teague
Charles Richard “Bud” Teague, 100, of Bloomington passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the IU Health Hospice House.
Bud was born March 14, 1922 in Bloomington and was the son of the late Glen and Minnie (Knight) Teague.
Bud worked at Indiana University first as a policeman and then later as a locksmith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1081, he enjoyed hunting and was a fix it man and built his own home by himself.
Bud is survived by his daughter and son-n-law, Susan and Denny Russ; grandchildren, Amanda (Zachary) McCoy, Robert (Meredith) Russ, Tom Teague, and Carol (Matthew) Thornton; great grandchildren, Adelyn McCoy, Lucas McCoy, Grant (Kelsey) Teague, Triston Thornton, Amelia Thornton, and Bobby Russ; great great granddaughter, Freyja Teague; and special friend, Mary Wootton.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Teague; his first wife of 35 years, Thelma Teague; second wife of 30 years, Joann Teague; and his sister Ruth Teague.
Services for Bud will be 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 am until the service time.
