Florence Theresa Scank, age 91, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Florence was born on January 24, 1931 in New Jersey, and was the daughter of Arthur Markell and Theresa Virginia (Darone).
Florence enjoyed ceramics, going to garage sales, bowling, and loved attending church and spending time with her family.
Florence is survived by her sons; Robert Scank “Bobby” Jr. and Paul Scank, daughters; Linda Abbott and Barbara Rambo, grandchildren; Heather Taillon, Robby Abbott, Robert Rambo, Brandon Cole and Teresa Cole, great-grandchildren; Austin May, Dylan Harmon, Alexa Taillon, Luca Cole, Kaia Cole and Aria Cole, and , brother; William Markell.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, Robert Scank Sr, daughter, Janet Scank, brother, Arthur Markell, sisters, Janet Eckbold and Babe Minnick, and granddaughter, Jesse Harmon.
Visitation for Florence will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Cheryl Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
