Obituary for Judith "Judy" Odette Smith
Judith Odette “Judy” Smith, age 82, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 23, 2022.
Born on February 24, 1940, Judy was the daughter of Earwn Barrow and Mary Pritchard.
Judy was employed at IUPUI Indianapolis for 35 years, and served as the director of payroll for 20 years.
In early years, Judy enjoyed riding motor cycles, painting, going to old car shows, sewing, reading, going to the casino, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allan Smith; daughter, Alaina Miller (Kevin Stuart); son, Troy Smith (Rhonda), grandchildren, Chance Miller (Lea), Trey Miller (Leslie), Alisha “Ali” Clark (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Georgia Kate, Ander, Brayden, Ryker, Maverick, Gannon, Abi, and one on the way; step-grandchildren, Blake Durham (Courtney), Brett Durham (Kyrstien) and Brittany Durham; and sister, Mary “Ellen” Porter (Bill).
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris “Kaye” Pope; brothers, Jackie Barrow, Richard “Dick” Barrow, and Nelson Barrow.
Visitation will be held at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN on Saturday, July 30 from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. with services beginning at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Unionville Cemetery.
