Obituary for Isaiah A. Butcher

Isaiah Arnold Butcher, 39, of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Monroe Hospital.

Isaiah was born March 29, 1983 in Bloomington and was the son of Rev. David A. and Barbara (Lawson) Butcher. Isaiah was a graduate of Bloomington High School South and worked with his dad and brother for several years with Butcher Construction. Isaiah was a hard worker, and built his own home and loved building and doing things around the house for his wife and son. Isaiah’s contagious smile would light up a room. He was a loving and dedicated husband, dad, son, grandson, brother and uncle.

Isaiah is survived by his wife, Naomi Butcher; son Anthony Butcher; mother, Barbara Butcher; grandmother, Carolyn Lawson; sister, April Butcher-Cannon; brother, Aaron Butcher and wife Heather; nieces and nephews, Caleb Colbert, Akilah Leverenz; Shelby Butcher, Alexis Butcher, Devin Cannon and Madeline Butcher; and great niece and nephews, Isabella Johnson, Cooper Johnson, and Amari Cannon.

Isaiah was preceded in death by his father, David A. Butcher; maternal grandfather, George Lawson; and paternal grandparents, Arnold and Carol Butcher.

Visitation for Isaiah will be on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2-6 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 11 am until service time.

Services will be 12 pm Monday at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
