Our Heavenly Father called home his angel Linda Rose (Lawson) Williams on August 11, 2022, surrounded by family. Linda was born on February 11, 1946 to Orpha (Lucas) Lawson and Charles Lawson. Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Melvin Lee Williams, daughters Lori (Williams) Clendening (Michael) and Lisa Williams (Michele), grandchildren Matthew Clendening, Logan Clendening, Kylie Stickels (Jordyn), Jordan Stickels, and Dylan Stickels and brothers Dale Webb (Marie), Mike Lawson (Diana), Sister-in-law Connie Lawson, and Brother-in-law Wayne Watson all from Bloomington, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her mother Orpha and father Charles, her brother Charles Jr. (Chuck) Lawson, and sister Mikki (Lawson) Watson. In 2008, Linda retired from the City of Bloomington Utilities after serving 38 years.
A visitation will be held Monday August 15, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard from 4:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at The Funeral Chapel. Immediately following the committal, a Celebration of Life will be held at South Union Christian Church, where Linda was a member for many years.
In lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to South Union Christian Church in care of Pastor Jimmy Cain.
