Obituary for Karin Dillman

Karin Dillman, age 58, passed away on August 20, 2022 at her residence in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born in Martinsville, Indiana on August 7, 1964 to James and Sandra (Hays)Dillman.
Karin owned a karaoke business called Karinoke. She was a fabulous singer herself and enjoyed singing. She even had the opportunity to perform with Carl Perkins at a show in Tennessee. Every year she sponsored some of her young followers in the fair talent show. She loved seeing them up on stage enjoying themselves. She was so proud of those that went on to use their talents as adults.
Karin loved her family. To her son she was a supermom, to her siblings she was a warrior, and to her nieces and nephews she was the “fun aunt”. Aunt Karin loved to color pictures, sing and play games with the kids. Karin had a very close relationship with her grandmother, GG. Karin was her caregiver for a couple years, and loved listening to GG’s stories and piano playing.
Karin was a wonderful cook. She loved cooking meals for her friends and family, and they enjoyed her "country" cooking. She loved the holidays and bein gwith her family. She just treasured her time with friends and family.
Karin loved animals. She had several pets, including her very special Prince Andrew. She spoiled them all rotten. She also loved wildlife and was constantly feeding the deer around her mom’s home. She fed the birds and truly believed the cardinals visiting were late relatives stopping by to watch over us all.
Karin is survived by her son, Todd “T.J.” Powers, mother, Sandra Dillman, sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Barry Helms and their children, Cory (Sammy) Helms and Amanda (Alex) Liby, brother and sister-in-law, Kasey and Heather Dillman and children, Spencer (Mackenzee) Dillman, Michael Dillman, Luke (Riley) Greenwood, Brooke Greenwood, and Libby Greenwood, uncles, Ernie (Patsy) Hays and Steve (Sammy) Dillman, and many cousins and dear friends.
Karin was preceded in death by her father, James Dillman, daughter-in-law, Angela Powers, grandparents, Harley and Jessie Hays, Laura (Kerr) Dillman, and Morris and Maurine Dillman.
