Linda Ann (Scank) Abbott, age 68, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born on December 6, 1953 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Robert Sr. and Florence (Markell) Scank. Linda enjoyed weekly meals with her family, cross stitch, traveling with her daughter, Heather, shopping, and she loved quilting. She was a great caretaker, was very involved with her family, and always promoted education amongst her family.
Linda is survived by her son, Robert Abbott, daughter, Heather Taillon (Scott), granddaughter, Alexa Taillon, siblings, Robert “Bobby” Scank Jr., Paul Scank, and Barbara Rambo, and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm “Butch” Abbott, parents, Florence Scank and Robert Scank, Sr., sister, Janet Marie Scank, niece, Jessie Harmon, mother-in-law, Gladine Abbott, and sister-in-law, Ethel Scank.
Visitation for Linda will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 31 at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 310 N. Johnson Avenue Bloomington, Indiana.
