JoAnne (Chambers) Werner, age 67, of Bedford, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2022 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born on December 12, 1954 in Monroe County, Indiana to Roy Ollan and Glodene (Terrell) Chambers. JoAnne enjoyed being outside, traveling, listening to Elvis, and her Corvette. She loved her St. Bernard, Alfonzo, spending time with her grandchildren, joking and having a good laugh, and was a high spirited person. JoAnne loved her family dearly. She worked for 34 years at Indiana University Physical Plant. JoAnne grew up on her family farm and was a farm girl all her life. She attended Smithville High School and graduated from Bloomington High School South in 1973. She was a “Skibo” true and true. JoAnne grew up Apostolic Pentecost and lived for God, and continued her strong faith until the end.
JoAnne is survived by her children, Rikki Luttrell (Brian), Jeffrey Werner, and Trevor Werner (David), grandchildren, Torren, Aubrey, Tori, Colton, Cheyenne, and Abe, sister, Roslyn Perry (Larry), brother, Layton Chambers (Candy), and significant other, Raymond “Chuck” McDaniel.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold Floyd Chambers and John Chambers, and former husband, Jeff Werner.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, September 19, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
