Obituary for John E. Webb
John Edward Webb, age 83, of Bloomington, passed away on September 19, 2022 at IU Health Hospice House.
John was born on March 31, 1939 in Monroe County, Indiana to the late Leston and Mildred (Jones) Webb. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1957 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Airman First Class in 1961. John married his wife of 63 years, Betty, in 1959. He had worked at the Department of Natural Resources for 47 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening. His family will cherish memories of him.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Cline.
John is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Logsdon) Webb; sons Michael Webb (Lisa), Roger Webb (Darlena), Richard Webb, and John Webb (Christina); grandchildren Jesse Webb, Jonathon Webb (Miranda), Summer Swartz (Randy), Matthew Webb, Kyle Webb, Tyler Webb, and Jacob Webb; brothers, Steven Webb, Larry Webb (Sharon), and James Webb (Patty).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 11 AM until 1 PM at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, followed immediately by a graveside service at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
