Obituary for Louann Ray

Louann (Baker) Ray, 64, of Bloomington passed away early September 27th surrounded by family.
Louann was best known for her nurturing personality and sarcastic sense of humor. She spent over 20 years working as a paraprofessional at MCCSC with time spent at Lakeview Elementary and Tri-North Middle School.
She is survived by her 5 perfect children of whom she was so proud: Jennifer, John (Sarah), Charles, Rebecca, and Deborah Ray. She had one awesome granddaughter, Adalaide Soto.
She is survived by her loving sisters who were by her side Nancy Crocker, Karen Hall, and Kathy (Ron) Maves.
Additional survivors include her mother-in-law, who was always like a mother to her, Joan Ray, and her wonderful nieces and nephews: Mitch (Anna) and Molly Crocker, Liz (Chris) Rodgers, Matthew Maves, and Michael (Jen) McKendry.
She is preceded in death by her nephews Matthew McKendry and Jamie Schmidt, and father-in-law, Andy Ray.
A Celebration of Louann will take place Friday, September 30th as an open house from 3:00 - 6:00pm at Fairview United Methodist Church at 600 W 6th Street, Bloomington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Monroe County CASA and The Middle Way House.
