Obituary for Teresa (Shields) Freeman
Teresa (Shields) Freeman, age 67, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on June 16, 1955 to Charles “Jack” Shields and Frances L. (Miller) Osmon. Teresa loved riding motorcycles and all things Harley Davidson. She enjoyed pull tabs and gambling. Teresa loved spending time with her husband, Russell “Rusty” Freeman, and her dogs.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Rusty Freeman, dogs, Ruby and Minnie, siblings, Richie Shields (Becky), Vickie Stines (Joe), Debbie Johnson (Michael), and Paul Shields (Jamie), several nieces, nephews, and cousins, aunts, Marcene Byers (Joey) and Sue May (Bob), mother-in-law, Nila Gale Talbot, and sister-in-law, Jane Steward (Mike).
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawes, parents, and dog, Molly.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
