Obituary for Derk Adam Frasier

Derk Adam Frasier

Born August 19, 1969; A beloved Husband, Father, Gramps, and friend to all was lost on Monday morning November 14th, 2022. He adored his wife and best friend, Lisa for 34 years. Not only did they have a successful business together, but also had one of the most loving marriages. You rarely saw one without the other. Together, they had three children Zachary, Emma (Angelo Buanno), and Abby (Jaedan Householder). Abby also brought along a friend, Lauren Buergler, who he took in as his own and has lovingly been referred to as their “bonus daughter”. Zach’s daughter, Rowyn, was a light in his life. He always loved spending time with her, building homemade toys and cardboard castles. Lisa and Derk spent much of their time traveling for sports, band concerts, showchoir, and whatever else the kids wanted to do!

Derk was an avid aviation enthusiast. This love began during his time at Culver Academy in his teenage years. The last flight in his log was one which he took in 1994 with Zach, when he was just 3 years old. While he may no longer be able to take flight, we can only imagine his happiness being in the sky.

Derk was proof that you can overcome any obstacles that come your way with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. His radiant smile, hilarious jokes, and fantastic stories will be missed greatly by all that love him.

In lieu of flowers, Derk would have loved donations to the T-Cell Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation (https://www.tcllfoundation.org/donate).

We welcome all those that would like to pay their respects to his viewing at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St Bloomington, Indiana, Monday, November 21st, from 11 am - 1 pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
