Obituary for Stori Horn

Stori Horn, 33 of Bloomington IN, departed this life unexpectedly on 10/29/2022.

Stori was born to Jeff Horn & Patty Cassel-Horn in Blm, IN. She was a 2007 graduate of Bloomington High School South.

Stori is survived by her beautiful 5-year old daughter, Grace-Lynn Renee Rippy, her brothers, Seth Horn, Blm, and Rob Long, Brooklyn, NY.

Stori is also survived by aunts Joyce Edwards, Blm, IN; Julia Broadstreet, Summerville, SC; uncles Steve Cassell, Blm, IN, & Mike Cassel, of FL. Stori is loved and survived by several cousins, extended family and friends.

Stori was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Rippy who passed in 8/2021; her grandparents, Wade and Rosie Horn, & her parents, Jeff Horn & Patti Cassel-Horn, Blm, IN.

Stori was a beautiful and caring mother. She was so happy to be a mommy and she was a great one! Stori was so proud of her beautiful daughter, and no one could ever doubt the love she had for her little Gracie. She has beautiful just like her mommy.

Stori will always be remembered by her strength and witty humor. She loved to laugh. She could find the humor in just about anything. Just like her Nanny (Rosie), both of their laughs were contagious. Stori was an individual who loved deeply. Stori cared for others, if you hurt, she hurt. Stori loved.

Stori was considered a beast at the Smithville Baseball Field when growing up. She could slam that ball. Some contributed her abilities in baseball to her red-headed temper. Stori would flash her pretty smile and deny that she had a temper. Her brother Seth, disagreed. Stori definitely loved her little brother, Seth. The two of them were inseparable throughout their lives. Stori always had a great new recipe for Seth to try out. Always talking as best friends, they each cared and tried to look out for one another.

Stori will always be remembered by those closest to her as Daddy’s little girl. Although she joined her Daddy much too soon, we can only imagine the two of them are enjoying one more father-daughter dance in heaven together.

With heavy and hurting hearts, those who all knew and loved Stori are thankful for her life. Our lives are richer because, Stori lived.

The family will have a private gathering in remembrance of our loved one.
