Obituary for Robert E. Livingston Jr.
Robert (“Bobby”) E. Livingston, Jr., 74, of Bloomington left this world on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Monroe Hospital.
Bobby was born on January 18, 1948 in Linton, Indiana to Robert E. Livingston, Sr. and Violet M. (Thompson) Livingston (now Morris). He married Donna S. Prow on April 29, 1966, and they have three sons, Bobby Gene Livingston of Bloomfield, Mike Livingston of Springville, and Danny (“Wes”) Livingston of Solsberry.
Bobby is survived by his wife and sons, as well as grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Justin, Amanda, and Ashley, and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother of Bloomington; sister, Rita (Dale) Bruce, of Bloomington; nieces; aunts; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather Richard Morris; maternal grandparents, Frank and Minnie (Smith) Thompson; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mary (Hamm) Livingston; brother Ronald (“Ronnie”) Livingston; niece, Tabitha Livingston; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Livingston.
Bobby went to Grandview Jr. High where he played (and was very good at) basketball, then attended Bloomington High School. He was an asphalt worker for 41 years and belonged to Laborers Local 741.
Bobby will be very missed by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren who will miss “Pap.”
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, at the Solsberry Christian Church, 10825 E. Christian Church Road, Solsberry, Indiana, with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the Solsberry Cemetery.
