Georgetta Stewart, age 65, passed away peacefully with her father and her pastor present, on May 3, 2023 at Brickyard Health in Bloomington, IN.
Born on February 1, 1958, in Monroe County, Georgetta was the daughter of George Robert Stewart and Wilma Pauline (Harper) Stewart.
She is survived by her father, George Stewart.
Georgetta was a member of Knightridge Pentecostal Church for many years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, and played the piano and sang as called upon. She loved spending her time embroidering – especially quilts.
Georgetta is preceded in death by her mother; aunts, Elsie Prince, Margie Barger, Allie Ritter, Doris Eads and Nancy Prince; uncles, Thomas Harper and Kenneth Harper; maternal grandparents, Rex and Maud Harper; and paternal grandparents, Floyd and Cory Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Knightridge Pentecostal Church, 3775 South Knightridge Rd. Bloomington, IN 47401. A service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Tom Rhodes officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
