Obituary for Caroline Ann Cirignano (Grimaldi)

Caroline Ann Grimaldi, beloved wife of John Henry Cirignano, passed away in the morning of Thursday, May 11, at the age of 91.
Ann was being cared for by her eldest daughter Joanne and husband John Passanisi in their home. She died of kidney failure.
Born in Brighton, Massachusets on December 19, 1931 Ann was the youngest of 10 children of parents Louigi and Caroline Grimaldi.
After graduating from St Elizabeth’s Nursing School, Ann was a nurse and clinical advisor at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston for over 20 years.
She met John Henry, the love of her life, at the age of 13. Ann and John were married in Brighton, Massachusets on June 5, 1954, and lived as one for almost 69 years.
Ann loved and cared deeply for everyone in her life, especially her four children: Joanne, Leonard, John, and Elizabeth.
She was the most amazing nurse, wife, mother, and cook imaginable. Her ravioli, rum cake, and ricotta pies are legendary!
Ann is survived by her husband and their four children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass for Ann will take place on Tuesday, May 16 at 10am at St. Paul’s Catholic Center on 17th street, Bloomington.
