Obituary for Ronald K Mood
Ronald Keith Mood, age 87, October 2, 1935 – May 30, 2023.
Born in Bloomington, Indiana to Harold Mood and Catherine (Gillespie) Mood-Radice. Preceded in death by his parents and his three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Bechtel (2013), Phyllis Ramberger (2020) and Betty Jo Stillions Carter (2022).
Graduated Bloomington High School in 1955, then Married the Love of his life, Carol LuAnn (Rader) Mood on June 3, 1956. They have been married 67 years.
Ron and Carol have four sons, Jeffrey Mood, Christopher Mood (Bernie Collins Mood), Matthew Mood (Sandy Resch Mood) and Patrick Mood; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two more due this year.
Ron worked as a milkman for Johnsons Creamery for 21 years, retired in 1977 and went to become a driver for UPS, retiring from there in 2002.
Ron was known for his great sense of humor, Pride in his home and landscaping, and also for the way he made sure his automobile was spotless at all times.
Another love of Ron’s was when he was a Referee for many sports in Bloomington. Once Refereed an Indiana University Freshman game. When Bob Knight, was coach.
Ron will be missed by all that knew him.
Visitation for Ron will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, following his visitation at The Funeral Chapel.
