Schoolhouses

I'll always remember our shared times living in different old schoolhouses in Solsberry. Though ours was in the suburbs and the Laughlin's was right uptown. We both used wood heat and when a storm toppled many old oak trees Tim and I spent many hours cutting them up for heat. It was in the winters of 76-77 and 77-78 which were particularly bitter and snowy. It was with some relief and sadness that both of us left the environs of Solsberry and moved closer to Bloomington which was always our spiritual home. I'll miss running into him at various Bloomington haunts like the last day that Ladyman's was open and we both came in to pay our respects and have a piece of pie. I'm sure that he's in a better place but I'll miss his presence.
