Carolina May Keith, 77, of Bloomington, was surrounded by her loving family when she went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Carolina was born in Bloomington, Indiana to Ralph and Sylvia Porter on March 22, 1942. She married the love of her life, Gene Keith, and they shared over 50 years together while raising their six children. Carolina was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She loved her role as G-Ma! She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and she never met a stranger. Carolina was always willing to help someone else. She allowed her faith to guide her though life by being a living example of one of her many favorite Bible Verses, Ephesians 4:32 – “and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Carolina is survived by her loving and caring husband who meant the world to her, Gene Keith of Bloomington, daughters, Beth Pless (William) Bloomington, Tamara Mullins (Steve), Wyanetta Johnson (David Masters), Rebecca Chastain and sons, Ernest Langley (Stacey) and John Keith (Amanda). She is also survived by her sisters Bertha Blackwell (Daniel) and Janet Heineman (Chuck). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and eight great great-granchildren.
Carolina was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Sylvia (Hendricks) Porter, brothers Ralph Wayne Porter, Jr. and Danny Joe Porter, sister Terrie Porter, grandson Steven Eugene Mullins, great-grandson, Cameron Ryder Pless and many more aunts, uncles and extended family members.
The Family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their service to Carolina and her family during her illness.
