Granny I will truly miss you. My visits back to Indiana will never be the same without you. As I awoke Thanksgiving morning I was still trying to process the fact you were gone and so I wrote this poem in your honor: In life we travel, often times unsure, Of our destination, and life's allure. We sometimes forget, along the way, Why we are traveling, much to our dismay. One thing I've learned, while trudging along, I couldn't have made it without singing a song. It's a song of hope, and love, and prayer, Giving thanks to those who are there. Friends and family cannot be replaced, Their love and support, we must embrace. Of course some may think they can go it alone, But in the end, they'll see they were wrong. For there's none more fulfilling, than to look in the eyes, Of someone who loves you, without a disguise... I love you Granny
