My friend Dan

I first met Dan at Binford Jr. High (1967). I really don't remember which courses we shared together (except Band), but I do remember Dan from the extracurricular activities (Aviation club, Wrestling and Football). Later I got to know Dan even better in High School, again through more intense extracurricular activities as Indiana State Champions in Football and on an exceptional stage band with performances throughout Bloomington and at IU. Scouting was also a place where I ran into Dan, during the summer camps and at local camporees. We went different directions in life, but we maintained the same friendship (mostly through BHSS alumni reunions) that had begun now nearly fifty years ago. Its intersting how friendships like that transcend time. Dan, you have physically moved on, but your spirit remains in our hearts and minds. I leave my sincere condolences to your lovely family.
